You may be seeing this Y2K trend being talked about in the media. Apparently all the big brands from the Y2K era are making a comeback with the new generation. Brands you haven't heard much about are tapping into that Nostalgia of time before the current shopper was even born, but also a time that you remember because you were hiding in your basement that New Years Eve expecting life to shut down and society to collapse. There are still at least a handful of people still in their bunkers waiting to surface after the fall-out, drinking their purified urine and hoping their rations last another 5 years.
Another relic of the era is Victoria's Secret, who have managed to totally change their fate in recent months after being cancelled for a few things, but mainly using hotties in their marketing efforts.
Hotties are back, so why not tap into one of their legacy talents, Candice Swanepoel, the South African farmer with a dream, who at 36, still delivers her classic and familiar stylings.
Sometimes Nostalgia isn't that depressing!
