CELEBRITIES

It is pretty selfish for a television show to take the title You all for itself. I agree that Elizabeth Lail is something special, but I hardly think she has earned the right to that pronoun. People have been calling me You for years, but it isn’t like I am going to prevent other people from using it.
I feel the same way about Madonna. That word had been around for ages before that skanky pop star came around, but now I can’t even google the word without autofill trying to tell me Madonna’s net worth.
I guess we should all be thankful that she took an obscure word like Madonna and not a more popular name like Alexa. I imagine it would have been real rough for anyone with that name to have it get highjacked like that. Not only does it get universally associated with something that has nothing to do with you, but you also have to constantly hear your name get spoken.
I’ll be damned if I let Elizabeth do the same with You. I refuse to lose another word to a celeb just because they are hot.
