Rihanna has rebranded herself as a celebrity entrepreneur, similar to Goop, or Jessica Alba, or Kate Hudson with her Fabletics. They realize that instagram is a place to push consumer goods to the fans and since they have millions of actual fans...it's an easy sale.
Rihanna unlike Goop, is not in the "Magic Wand" vibrator business, but rather the Lingerie business, where they made direct to consumer lingerie that has Rihanna approved designs and that are far racier or more interesting than Victoria's Secret.
Over Christmas, SAVAGE X FENTY lingerie was everywhere, people were buying it all up, their product drops sold out everywhere, and they really gave Victoria's Secret a wake-up call that they weren't the untouchables they had previously thought they were before this generation turned their back on them through a lack of inclusivity, old "Boomer" mindset, getting stuck in their routine, opening doors for new blood.
Last week, there was a story going around that Savage X Fenty was ending, but as it turns out, Fenty and Savage X Fenty are two different companies.
So Savage X Fenty which is killing it, at the top of its game, seems to be still in business, while her other brand Fenty, which she did with the parent company of Louis Vuitton, is the one closing shop.
I could be wrong, but I was confused why they'd shut down something trending as hard as Savage X Fenty is, it just didn't make sense to me.
Then Rihanna posted this picture up today, where she's still pushing Savage X Fenty, so we will assume more hot lingerie pics from Rihanna and her ambassadors that include Sydney Sweeney, Jojo, Madison Pettis amongst others, are to come!
