Amber Tamblyn may not look quite like you remember her looking, but there was a time when she wasn't a 37 year old posting her empowered yet censored nude photos on instagram to celebrate her 37th birthday!

She is the girl from The Ring, The Grudge 2, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Size 14 Pants, now the wife of comedian David Cross who she has been with for MANY years and is also the mother of his kid.

Raised in LA to an actor father with family friends including Dennis Hopper and Neil Young, an interesting way to wake up.

You know we are in a crazy world when a girl needs to announce, like it is some kind of political statement that she's "Natural". I mean, shouldn't we, by default expect everyone to be natural.

This announcement of "I don't have muppet face fillers like all the influencers. I don't have a digital filter on like all the girls on SNAP and IG, I don't workout out or starve myself, I don't shave my body hair, it's natural...but I do dye my it's a crazy world that we live in and if I am going to make a dramatic post about how natural I am, I need to have dyed hair to offset everything I just said, you know selective empowerment".

I think we put WAY too much thought into these things. This whole empowering, confidence, loving yourself now that you are older and fatter. No one cares, or should care, and if they do want to laugh at it, because you're famous and that's what people do with the famous, let them laugh while you laugh because they are talking to you.

What is happening here is way too much "high concept" for me. The only feedback you need to hear is that we just want to see dramatic nudes more nude!! If you are going to go to the trouble to do this with that caption, aim that camera lower David, what's this CROPPED photo you are giving us. I mean be free, empowered, enlightened, BLOOMED and all the other catch lines used in the caption and RELEASE THE HOUNDS.
