Emily Ratajkowski is taking her life into her own hands at least in terms of her business.
She recently enough launched her own brand of clothing and swimsuits and accessories and is using the connections she's made and the followers she has amassed to maximize that brand's reach, profits, success.
This will definitely work out in her favor if it hasn't already because despite already making millions of dollars off her fan base and her feed there's no equity in an instagram account that brands throw money at. If anything, an instagram account is fleeting and when the people or you are done with the whole producing clickbait to stay relevant, you are left with nothing you can sell off to the highest bidder. While building out a brand, with staff, with sales channels, with it's own social media accounts, is something that can be sold to a bigger fashion company.
I am not sure if this is Emily Ratajkowski's collection for Nasty Gal, or if she's just still doing promotions for Nasty Gal, the beauty in her entrepreneurship is that she can still do what she was doing before she launched the brand, the two aren't mutually exclusive. That is why I've always told every influencer I know that they should only wear their own brand of clothing that their fans can buy because it allows them to monetize in 10 different ways. It's nice to see someone properly executing it and not just because of her great body she's not scared to show off, but because it's nice to see people succeed for actual reasons beyond the ability to post hot pics of themselves!
