Saweetie is a Cover Girl!

Diamonté Quiava Valentin Harper, better known as Saweetie is a rapper who I assume is trending because she's been cast as the MAXIM covergirl.

It's nice to see that Maxim is staying relevant after all these years of ups and downs from print to web to misogyny causing lad mags to falter, but they keep on trucking, but more importantly, they keep on trucking with new generation talent! For the record, I am not hyping Maxim up, I am just shocked.

We're also posting a second covershoot from Paper Magazine which happened this month, so her team REALLY wants to get her out there!

For those of you who don't know, Diamonté Quiava Valentin Harper, better knowns a Saweetie is half Filipino-Chinese and half Black, because it's important to address her heritage, despite living in a world of inclusivity that would have been mad at us for mentioning her race when writing about her. The world is all too confusing.

She's from Cali, she dates one of the guys from Migos named Quavo, which is the same band that Cardi B's husband is in. She's been with him since 2018, so pretty connected. Her cousin is Gabrielle Union and her grandfather is Willie Harper who played for the 49ers, so I guess she was positioned to be a star since she comes from more privilege than any of you!

Either way, maybe it's talent, maybe it's nepotism, maybe we don't care as long as she looks good!
