Taylor Momsen's transition to rock and roll after Gossip Girl involved her totally changing her look and feel. She went edgy and dark as you'd expect someone in Rock and Roll to go, however, she never did the nude thing. It was more a play on her sex appeal and career as a child star, to make it obvious she was no longer that person, at least not as part of her brand.

Since her last album, a Pandemic has hit, people have changed, porn is more popular than ever, especially with the under 25 year old crowd. They are addicted to it, they are producing it and selling access to it, which is wild.

So the only natural way to stand out is to strip down, if everyone does it and it clearly works, then you better too, otherwise no one will notice, we're BURIED in nudes!!

I don't know if that was the consideration in her marketing efforts, but this album that she wants you to listen to is being marketed with various nudes of Momsen and this is the latest one!
