I came of age right after the Farrah Fawcett wave had just about crested, so while my older brother was drooling over her, I was just sort of hanging out wanting to play Atari. But I never questioned for a minute his dedication to what appeared to be an angel sent from heaven. Farrah's feathered locks and magnificent eyes made you think that she'd made her way to earth for a higher purpose.
Of course, the best thing about Farrah is that she was never shy about showing some skin. Whether she was flaunting her fun bags for screen legend Kirk Douglas in Saturn 3 or running nude through a fountain in Robert Altman's Dr. T. and the Women, she always made nudity seem like a whole lot of fun!
There's no denying that what happened in Farrah's personal life was tragic and it's a damn shame that her demons eventually got the best of her, but she left behind a legacy of sexiness that's second to none. Farrah will remain the gold standard for my brother and an entire generation of dudes who knew what it was like to look into the eyes of an angel.
