Bori Kreutz Nude in the Bedroom

 I have seen bodies chiseled out of marble that do not look half as good as Bori Kreutz. It would be a tall order for even a master artist to serve, but this would be nearly impossible. I do not think rock even has the strength to hold up the proportions I am seeing on her.

I have always wondered how one goes about becoming a rock sculptor. If contractors are to be trusted then marble is pretty expensive, so I doubt just any shmo can grab a block and start chipping away. It is not like giving a toddler some water colors and an easel and telling them to go to town. If someone were to do that to me I would wind up with a wasted block of rock that would not even be fit for a monster in a film by Guillermo Del Toro. It certainly would not look anything reminiscent of Bori, that is for sure. Maybe that is why so many artists are in financial ruin, they have gone into debt just trying to master the hammer and chisel.
