It is moments like these that force me to come to terms with just how uncultured I am, because I do not have the slightest clue as to where Edyphia's name originates from. Hell, I do not think my tongue even has the ability to pronounce it correctly. My one consolation is that Microsoft Word apparently does not recognize the name as being an actual word, and if Microsoft does not know it then how can I be expected to?
Half of Microsoft's employees have probably got to be foreign hires. Between all of them they must have heard of 90 percent of all names in the world. The only names that I know are from the kids I went to school with, and that is mainly because most of them had basic biblical names like John and Matthew.
One thing that Edyphia has going for her, aside from the obvious physical gifts, is that the name can easily be made into nickname. Edy sounds like a pretty normal name. I have never met anyone with it, but I am pretty sure that I have heard of people having it. I think it is the name of an ice cream manufacturer, and that is always a good thing to be associated with.
