Working our way through the Reader Finds requests, one of the ones I've come across a bunch of times is Lynda Carter's multiple topless scenes from the 70s exploitation classic Bobbie Jo and the Outlaw. That's right, folks, the original Wonder Woman took off her clothes on film and we've got the clips to prove it!
Back before she was Wonder Woman, Lynda was a struggling actress like so many, and landed a role as the titular Bobbie Jo in this cheapie exploitation flick she probably thought no one would ever see. And she was right, initially. However, a month after the film premiered, Lynda was on television screens everywhere as the ass-kicking Amazon who was fighting for our rights in satin tights. This, of course, renewed interest in the otherwise totally forgettable story of a waitress who dreams of being a country singer but ends up falling for a Clyde Barrow wannabe.
Which is appropriate as this was basically a wannabe Bonnie and Clyde, which was a mistake. But hey, you can say whatever you want about the film and its quality—or lack thereof—because it gave us the one thing we all wanted: Wonder Woman Lynda Carter topless!
