Sheryl Rubio provides us with two very strong arguments in support of watching foreign language cinema. Yes, you are not given many options in regards to how you can watch it. Either use subtitles and force yourself to read the whole time, thereby preventing your eyes from fully appreciating the nudity that is taking place on screen; Or you can watch it with English dubs and pretend the voices that were chosen do not sound as ridiculous as they really do.
There is a third option, but it is so farfetched that no one would ever actually do it. That one requires the viewer to learn another language, and become so fluent that they can watch the flick in its native tongue and truly comprehend what is being said. I know, I know. Ridiculous. No one has time to play those silly games all for the sake of entertainment.
