Let's be honest here folks. With the exception of a few offensive linemen, professional athletes (no matter what the sport) have some of the most finely tuned bodies in the world. To do the things they do it is necessary for them to treat their bodies like temples.
In the process of doing so they often create something that many fans have no trouble giving a little worship to-- their tremendous, smoking hot physiques.
ESPN the Magazine has been nice enough to get a lot of these folks to pose naked in their annual Body Issue, a celebration of the human form at its finest.
Guys, before you get all excited at the idea of seeing Hope Solo or Lolo Jones in the buff, they will be naked, but you're not going to see what you want to see (this isn't a girlie magazine after all). Remember, there are guys on this list too; do you really want to see Rob Gronkowski giving the full monty?
The good folks were kind enough to release the list of athletes set to be in the next issue (due out July 13). Among the names you'll be interested in are:
Abby Wambach (soccer), Candace Parker (WNBA), Maya Gabiera (surfing), Ronda Rousey (MMA), Daniela Hantuchova (WTA), Suzann Pettersen (LPGA), Carmelita Jeter (track), Anna Tunnicliffe (sailing), Oksana Masters (paralympic rowing), Destinee Hooker, Stacy Sykora, Alisha Glass, Cynthia Barboza, Megan Hodge, Nellie Spicer and Heather Bown (USA Volleyball Team).
There's a lot of dudes in it too, but I didn't think too many of you would be interested in that list (my apologies if you are).
