I do not understand the negative feelings that people have when it is discovered that a person is playing with themselves.
Playing with yourself can be a great time. It is not like you need a partner in order to have fun. There is so much that you can do on your own that sometimes I wonder why we even include other people at all. When others are involved the number of things that are options diminishes greatly, because not everyone likes the same things. It always feels like such a burden trying to agree on what you want to do together, and that is only when one other person is involved. I have not even touched on when there are more than two people trying to agree on the activity.
And yet somehow when you want to circumvent the drama by choosing to go it alone, you are the weird, depressing one. I have gotten pretty good at playing by myself. So good in fact that switching gears to co-op is actually tricky. Sometimes I forget altogether that someone else is involved. It can really be embarrassing, but there are rare times when they get impressed by my abilities.
