Talk about a cause we can all get behind! Yesterday was Go Topless Day in NYC, where thousands of topless women marched through Midtown Manhattan. The annual event helps raise awareness to New York City's policy of allowing anyone to be topless in public at any time.
Regardless of political affiliation, I feel like this is one of those events that we can all agree is awesome. Sure, there's lots of politically minded marchers, but they're topless. Hell, I'll listen to anything any woman wants to tell me if she's topless while telling me about it.
I guess that makes it hard to make eye contact, though, which is the most important thing for women in conversation with men. Meh, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.
But I digress. Go Topless Day is a terrific event that should be replicated as often as possible in as many major metropolitan areas as possible. I'm sure the turnout won't be quite as good, but the advantage is that you'll see local women topless. Where's the downside there? Spoiler alert: There isn't one!
So call your city council members, hell go all the way to the mayor if you must, and demand a Go Topless Day event in your local area. It's the most god damned American thing you'll do today.
