There is a certain place in hell reserved for the person responsible for casting Anna Paquin as Rogue in the X-Men franchise. Who in their right mind would choose to make a woman as gorgeous as her untouchable? Since Bryan singer was the director of the first movie I will place the blame on him.
In a real world scenario the male population would plummet from the amount of men who would still be willing to risk death for the chance to be with her. I think this is one instance where the blame for this poor decision can be traced to Bryan's gayness. He had hetero thoughts swimming around in his sack then he never would have made such an error in judgment. He would have cast Amy Schumer, or someone else that it would not be a tragedy to not be able to touch.
I was so distracted while watching those movies because of that flaw. I could not understand why they were trying to make the movies into tragedies. The only other casting fail that I think can be compared to this was in making Jessica Alba the Invisible Woman.
