Hollywood missed a great opportunity to cast Emiliya Duma as the protagonist for Ghost in the Shell. I love Scarlett Johansson as much as the next guy but I think Emiliya would have been the better choice for a number of reasons.
The first being that they could have saved a lot of money because clearly Emiliya is going to require a smaller pay day. The second being that they would have saved a lot of money due to not needing a stylist on set because Emiliya already has the required haircut. The third being that they would have saved a lot of money by not needing to fit Emiliya in that white suit for filming everyday. Emiliya's nips are already so ghostly pale that they could have sneaked right passed the censors and still kept their PG-13 rating.
I am no accountant, and I know nothing about the movie business, but by my calculations this could have saved them approximately 300 million dollars. Based off an original budget of 110 million that would mean they could been paid 190 million dollars just for making the movie. To summarize, they were fools for snubbing Emiliya.
