I always wonder about how actresses feel in regards to playing strippers on film. Acting is all about faking it, but there isn’t much acting involved when giving a topless lap dance. At that point you are pretty much just stripper who is more well known. I think it is the ultimate form of method acting.

The lucky actresses get to start out acting in clothed roles before moving on to naked ones. There are plenty of strippers out there who wanted to be actresses but could only get paid gigs as actual strippers. And then there are plenty of strippers who had no desire to become actresses, but then some director decided they needed to shoot on location in a strip club and ended up revealing a dozen daughters career of choice to their unsuspecting fathers.

I’m only kidding about that last part. Strippers don’t have fathers that would recognize them.

Since actresses who play strippers in all likelihood do have fathers, it would have been good form for Madeline Wise to give her father a heads up before he turned on HBO. That would be a good way to incite your father’s heart attack.
