Ten bucks says there was no actual ice involved in this photo shoot. The shear scope of production costs would be too outrageous to try and pull something like that off. Elizabeth Ostrander’s hair is simply too hot to be that close to ice for very long. It would melt within minutes, regardless of how powerful your air conditioning is, and everybody would find themselves in a flood. You certainly would not be getting your deposit back on that studio, that is for sure.
And then there is the well-being of Elizabeth to take into account. Sure, her hair is hot enough to melt the ice, but that does not mean it is hot enough to keep her entire body warm enough to ward off hypothermia. Maybe if she had kept the carpeting on her downstairs she would have stood a chance, but these photos clearly show that is not a possibility here.
The only thing that is working in their favor is that they have a fur blanket for her to use. That should be thick enough to keep her warm, but it is hard to know for sure. If it had been made out of Elizabeth’s own hair it would have been conclusive, but then that would only have increased the melting of the ice. That shoot would have never stood a chance.
