It is just now dawning on me how odd it is that as a society we hold more respect for professional actors than we do reality stars.
As a whole, reality stars tend to be looked down upon as attention whores, while actors get praised for playing roles as other people. That is messed up. We should be praising the men and women who have managed to make careers out of hopping around from reality show to reality show, being the best version of themselves that they can be, as sad as that may be.
These people put their bodies through hell making permanent changes while actors get to sit in a makeup chair for a few hours while prosthetic makeup is applied. That is a cop out if I ever heard of one. If Ron Pearlman was really serious about acting he would have had his skin permanently tattooed red and had horns drilled into his forehead into order to make a believable Hellboy.
Reality stars do not get the luxury of having body doubles. When they have to complete challenges on shows there is no stuntman to do it for them. There is no alternate’s nips to fill the place of Frenchy’s bikini. That is all her, for better or worse.
