I hate wasting my time, and ten years after having taken three years of high school level Spanish, I can finally put it to use. Which is a good thing because I was about to take my old high school to small claims court over having squandered my potential in a class that did nothing for my profession. But now that I know Azul is Spanish for blue it kind of makes it all worth it, which is bittersweet. I was hoping for a modest payday from that lawsuit.
For those of you that have not been able to connect the dots, Azul is Mila’s last name. It also happens to be the primary color scheme of this photo shoot. If you had happened to pay attention during English class then you would know this is what is called symbolism.
The blue probably represents Mila’s inner turmoil over having never become a successful television cake decorator. The background color of eggshell white represents her tarnished ignorance of youth, defiled by the experience of life.
I understand why some of you might not have picked up on those subtleties. Not everyone had the privilege of a upper-lower class upbringing to give them a slight head start in life.
