MODELS

Sometimes I feel I am forced to wonder how many of these modeling shoots take place in legitimately abandoned buildings and how many have just been designed to look that way. In the case of the former, how sketchy must it be for the model as she is being taken there? Like, don't mind the secluded building in the woods with no cell phone reception, everything will be fine. Then the photographer cues up Possum Kingdom and instructs her to sit on the old chair that a hobo has been using as a toilet. I know the chances of something like that happening are slim to none, but that is why I assume there is some serial killer out there with that same m.o. We just have not found him yet.
In the case of the former, I feel like they are missing out on a lot of free production value by finding a place that is already dilapidated. It must take a lot of time and cost a small fortune to wear down all that furniture. Don't they know that there is a perfect building on skid row just waiting to be used?
