In the annals of history, there are very few women who have managed to convey the mix of sexiness, toughness, and vulnerability that Pam Grier showed during her storied career. Her role in Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey notwithstanding, she's always managed to portray characters that hide their true feelings beneath an exterior of sheer bad assedness. 

I'll never forget the first time I saw Quentin Tarantino's Jackie Brown—his best film in my humble opinion. He not only made Pam Grier look absolutely amazing, he gave her a character arc and a love story that rank among the best for a female protagonist in film history. I sincerely hope she gets a chance to play another role this juicy. Lord knows she deserves it and would hit it out of the park once again.

Of course, Pam's heyday was the Blaxploitation and Women in Prison movies of the 70s like Foxy Brown, Coffy, Black Mama White Mama, The Big Bird Cage, Sheba Baby, and many many more. Her proclivity for getting nude in these films was like icing on the sweetest of cakes, elevating all of them—as well as all of us, if you catch my drift.
