I'm no Latin major (Art History, well, hello, Sapphic ladies of the darkened lecture hall), but I think violante placido translates to violent calm, which would be a cool phrasing of a name, or the introduction to a super-Italian hottie film star (and erstwhile singer), Violante Placido, to our Egotastic! world. This boot-based hottie is now being introduced to U.S. audiences in The American, where she plays a topless prostitute who bumps not-so-uglies with George Clooney.
Oh, how I love me my Mediterranean women folk. Sure, these sexy Violante Placido pictures from the Venice Film Festival this past week (and her taking front-woman singing duties onstage at an afterparty) are solid rationale for my Tiber-river washed lust, but seeing Violante's sweet boobs and lady nest in what she calls her favorite movie role in L'anima gemella, well, that seals the deal. Welcome to Egotastic!, violent calm. Welcome and enjoy.

Thanks to loyal Egotastic! reader 'Andrew' for noting that Violante Placido hotness actually did grow on a tree, pointing out that her mother, Simonetta Stefanelli, was the super sexy young Italian bride to Michael Corleone in The Godfather and also appeared in the 1974 edition of Playboy magazine in the buff and the beautiful. At this point, I'm into multi-generational lust beyond mere words.
